Blowers:
Centrifugal blowers are almost always bought "off the shelf" as low-pressure commercial blowers intended for ventilation systems. These blowers are usually made of sheet metal and should be distinguished from high-pressure centrifugals with cast metal cases. They disperse an air pattern that is wide and uniform to ventilate, cool or exhaust.

Fan Blades:
The simplest form of axial fans consists of a propeller, usually with three to five aluminum blades mounted in a venturi. This type of fan finds wide use in applications requiring high air volumes at low static pressures. The performance characteristics of propellers may vary in many ways. Some general guidlines are:
- Increased blade pitch increases CFM and HP.
- Decreased blade pitch decreases CFM and HP.
- Increasing the number of blades increases static pressure characteristics.

Self-lubrication is recomended for any application in which dynamic conditions require the capability to handle heavy loads, both reversind and non-reversing, or continuous oscillation.
